Winter can be rough, to say the least. From the constant onslaught of rain to the unavoidable bitter chill that comes with the season, winter is often seen as something we all just have to get through rather than a time to be enjoyed. And while it’s not all bad, considering we have the holidays to thank for alleviating some gloom and doom, it’s safe to say some of us need more pick-me-ups than others to survive the remaining frigid days of winter. If this sounds anything like you, we think we have just the trick to lift your spirits this winter season.
It’s that time of year again – the time where we all shed the disappointments of the past year and collectively turn up into the new one. Troutdale doesn’t get enough credit for being one of the coolest tiny towns in Portland. Otherwise known as the Gateway to the Gorge, Troutdale is the last stop before hitting the Historic Columbia River Highway and first stop on the way back from iconic hikes such as Angel’s Rest and Multnomah Falls. Because of this, people often use it as a quick pitstop for gas or fast food, but little do they know Troutdale has plenty to offer when it comes to entertainment, restaurants, and more. Without further ado, here are some of our favorite destinations in and around Troutdale, so you’ll know what to explore next time you’re in the neighborhood.
It’s been about a month and we’re still coming down from the high of seeing Anderson Paak at McMenamin’s Edgefield, which means we desperately need a reason to go back again. While everyone has their own unique taste in music, there are a few upcoming headliners that we think can match the magic of seeing Anderson Paak live. Here are a few artists coming to Edgefield this summer that are bound to make you get up and dance, or cry – we don’t judge.
Oregon grows a lot of legal weed, supposedly enough to last us more than six years if production stopped today. In an attempt to curb production, Governor Kate Brown signed a bill this week that gives the OLCC the authority to refuse to issue production licenses to applicants who submitted for approval after June 15th, 2018. This process will be based on market supply analysis, was officially signed on June 17th, and took effect immediately. Here are more details on SB 218:
